MuMuDVB (Multi Multicast DVB) is a program for streaming TV over a network originally based on dvbstream.
MuMuDVB can redistribute a stream from a DVB source (digital satellite television, digital terrestrial television, or digital cable television) on a network, in multicast or in HTTP unicast. Its main feature is to take a whole transponder and put each channel on a different multicast group. MuMuDVB have a low memory and CPU footprint and is able to run on embedded platforms. RTSP streaming will be implemented in a near future.
The issue tracker is currently moving from redmine (which I need to maintain) to github (which just works)
You can post the issues here
Transcoding code in MuMuDVB is very time consuming to maintain, any help is very appreciated, but meanwhile you can transcode outside MuMuDVB, and find a tutorial here:
Hello, thanks to Krzysztof Ostrowski software cam support have been added into MuMuDVB.
Please refer to the documentation to install and use it
Important note : this solution is not allowed by some provider contracts.
MuMuDVB 1.7.1 is out !
Features many new features as the support of S2 transponders, improvments on CAM support, Diseqc, unicast, autoconfiguration, webservices for monitoring, DVB-TS parsing for better stability with difficult transponders.
Contributions are always welcome, if you are happy or unhappy user feel free to use your skills and your time to improve MuMuDVB and make it even better.
EyeTV Netstream DTT is a dual network tuner for digital TV. It connects to your TV antenna and to your Ethernet network router/switch to stream digital television. It's a perfect device for MuMuDVB.
It's running on Busybox 1.15.3, Lighttpd and Kernel 2.6.33.
Just to announce a new MPEG-TS parser
This is a important piece of MuMuDVB since it's needed by autoconfiguration (and other pieces of code)
So if you had a transponder on which MuMuDVB was failing to do autoconfiguration please try with the newDVBparser branch
Efforts are made toward RTSP unicast streaming. This is still unstable code but you can help reporting bugs.
The code have been integrated in the rtsp branch of the git repo.
MuMuDVB nows support IPv6 multicasting
The code have been integrated in the main branch of the git repo
